Privacy Policy for Offline Business Operations

American MediConnect is a healthcare messaging service for physicians and other healthcare providers. The primary purpose of our business is to improve the quality of patient to provider communications. We help patients wishing to reach their doctor or doctor's office do so within the specific practice protocol.

Patients and other callers are asked to provide personal information that is limited, but sufficient to allow a physician to respond quickly and in a medically appropriate manner. Such information may include, but not be limited to, name, date of birth and specific details of a medical condition or incident.

This information is referred to the appropriate provider, according to provider-specific protocols. The information is retained in our electronic files for the purposes of reviewing how specific calls were handled, either by us or by our client. In addition, the audio portion of some calls is recorded for training and quality assurance purposes.

Personal information collected from medical patients is not provided to any third party, except as required by law. Patient Identifiable information is never used for marketing purposes of any kind. We may use aggregated data to help our clients improve the range of services they provide to their patients.

On occasion we will answer inbound calls from patients responding to advertising in which it is made clear that callers should expect follow up from a project partner. An example would be information collected from patients volunteering to take part in a clinical trial of a pharmaceutical product.
